It's a question I get asked a lot. I offer both services, because some of my clients just prefer wax. And that's cool!! But since it's an FAQ, here we go!
Â
My favorite benefits of sugar are that it's gentler on the skin and it's water soluble. No sticky wax residue is left behind. Nice! But why is that? Wax products are typically made of resins whereas sugar is made up of sugar, water and lemon juice. Sugar removes only the top layer of dead skin making it less painful for you.Â
Â
Another difference is wax is removed in the opposite direction of hair growth and sugar removes hair in the direction of the growth. This allows for the sugar to seep into the hair follicle and helps lubricate the hair. That allows for easier hair removal and also reduces the risk of broken hairs and ingrown hairs. Â

I have sensitive wax for the face and bikini line. It's what works for you and I'm happy to offer a few options.Â
